The Community Legal Clinic of York Region (‘CLCYR’) is a not for profit organization which serves low-income residents in York Region. The clinic is staffed by lawyers, paralegals and support staff and offers free legal help to those who meet our financial eligibility criteria.

I was assigned Ms. Nonye Okenwa as my legal help as a tenant with a case. Ms. Nonye has been one of the best help anyone could ask for. She is professional, understanding, calm, and always have great advice and guidance. She always explained to me what is going on and what will be the next step. With her we finished my case with great success. I thank her very much and would recommend her to the highest office.

When we met Michelle Sutherland on June 5,2024 after having several conversations on the phone we met an extremely polite young lady and when we sat down to meet with the LTB tribunal Michelle became smart confident knew exactly what she doing with no hesitation at all and kept it up during the whole meeting we were extremely and thoroughly impressed and would be any other time. STAY AWAY! I can't believe the rudeness of Steven Li and how unprofessional this individual is to people. Such an arrogant disposition talking down and over people. I would highly suggest he take a customer service course. He does not listen, is very rude, impolite, disrespectful and does not care what others have to stay. Stay away from this one sided organization.
