Lash Condo Law, and specifically NataliaP, have been representing our condo for years. They have been instrumental in helping us navigate very complicated and highly emotionally charged situations with owners and residents by providing sound advice and strategic planning. Natalia approaches each situation with logic, expertise and compassion by taking into consideration the big picture and the particulars every unique circumstance presents. As a board member, I would highly recommend this firm to anyone seeking sound legal advice.

Crooks. They send illegal compliance letters to owners, quoting Condo Act and blatantly omitting provisions of the same Act that clearly show their threatening letter is illegitimate. In the end all owners are on the hook for wasting resources that are being funneled to this shady law firm.REPLY: Yeah, an illegal letter this law firm composed and sent contrary to legal requirements under the Condo Act - and a letter (and fee) the Condo Corporation had to REVERSE (and eat the cost of). Great for the girl at Lash who wrote it - she got paid anyway.

Natalia Polis represents my condo corporation. She has sent me multiple heavy-handed letters packed with false claims, unsubstantiated accusations, and threats of taking legal action against me for “harassing” the corporation. She never bothers to first verify facts or give me an opportunity to respond to what I’m accused of. She simply takes the board and manager’s word, states the accusations as if they were proven (they are not), and fires off these letters and threats. She has twice compared my conduct to that of the owner in the Robinson vs York case (Justice Morgan), which she knows is patently false. I have never conducted myself in a manner even remotely resembling that owner’s conduct. In one case, she went as far as accusing me of violating the rule that prohibits “canvassing and solicitation” when I knocked on a few neighbours’ doors to ask them if they were having the same plumbing issue I was having. My counsel described this as an untenable legal position on her part. Her letters always include the same cut-and-paste paragraph that starts with “We’re not trying to silence you, but…” My Board and Manager are largely to blame for the treatment I get in my home, but this lawyer’s conduct should not go unremarked.

I unfortunately recommended Lash to represent the Condo Corporation. Huge mistake! They were overseeing a negotiation with the developer regarding deficiencies and the performance audit. Aside from never meeting a single deadline, both during these negotiations as well as other business todate, they provided terrible advice. At the time the condominium was managed by a series of con artists, so called "managers" including one who wasn't even licenced by CMRAO which I found out myself later on. When I was elected to the board, aside from unfortunately recommending Lash, I also wanted to immediately ditch this borderline criminal management company. Nevertheless, Lash advised we shouldn't as per the deficiencies negotiation with the developer taking place. I opposed to it as this management company was actually hired during the time the developers occupied 4 out of 5 seats of the board.Long story short, this advice was followed by the majority of the board members and ultimately provided the management company almost two additional years to cause further irreversible damage. In fact, after they were finally ditched, the corporation ended up incurring hundreds of thousands of dollars in a special assessment as a direct result of negligent management. Furthermore, when they left the property, they erased all the corporations records, emails and even computer software, causing complete mayhem in a luxury property with over 300 units. This financial damage (aside from the physical damage to the property from neglect) was certainly avoidable had the corporation not followed the legal advice provided which actually also cost an arm and a leg in legal fees. Needless to say that following the advice brought 0 benefits regarding the deficiencies negotiation.I do not recommend Lash Law.In fact, provided I'm still in this property, I might just run for the Board again in the next AGM with the usual support of most owners who I personally know, just to remove Lash from this Condominium as they are currently here thanks to me.

It has been a privilege and great opportunity for us to work with Lash Condo Law on our condominium project! This was a very complex and multi-year endeavour that took a lot of effort to push through. Denise and her team were there every step of the way, always prompt and knowledgeable. As this was our first condominium project in Ontario, we were relatively inexperienced with how to proceed in the province. Thankfully the project was able to move forward thanks to the expertise and guidance of Denise and her team; and were able to complete the project this past year to complete success. There is no doubt for us that if you're looking to do anything with condominiums, real estate, or the like, this firm is the only real clear choice. Denise working on our project also gave it greater credibility with other parties we were working with due to her reputation, which helped notably as the project progressed and matured. We were very fairly billed and the work was excellent and clear. We will continue to make use of the services of this law firm moving forward and are glad we made the choice in the first place.
